Oh gosh, this post is picture-heavy! I just can’t decide which ones I like best so I’m showing a whole load of them. Ready?…
I spent a beautiful Saturday morning in the company of Georgia, who – for her twelfth birthday – had requested a photo session (Georgia, I like your style!
)
She particularly wanted some pictures alongside her best friend, Megan, just being themselves. They have been best friends for a long time, and I’m guessing they will be forever. These girls together were like two hilarious peas in a pod if ever I saw them - we really enjoyed our time walking around a couple of parks and hitting the town for a milkshake. It got me reminiscing about what it was like being twelve, the pressures of school and the downtime at weekends, hanging out with your friendship groups, favourite TV programmes, sharing secrets, wondering what you’ll become when you’re older, just beginning to branch out on your own… And here’s what I discovered on this particular Saturday: Twelve-year-olds walk FAST – really really fast. Georgia & Megan, did you know how fast you walk?!!
Anyway, here are just a few of the many pictures we managed to grab on the day. We were blessed with warm spring sunshine, and I really enjoyed your company, G&M! I’m so glad you love the photos and I really hope you’ll look back in the future and be able to remember how much fun it was to be this age, right now, at this moment in time. And I hope you’ll hold yourselves in high esteem, and realise that both of you are beautiful, inside and out.

This is the one Georgia picked out for her print enlargement - *love*

Oh, Julie! I love these so much. I got teary eyed and I’m not even their mothers! Amazing work!
I adore the best friends hand shot and the shot of them on the quilt. What precious, beautiful memories you have captured for them. <3
Can my best friend and I come visit you for a best friend session?
Thank you for making Georgia’s day so utterly unforgetful. I have started blubbering looking at her pics again x
